Cultivating a Culture of Prayer

Moms in Prayer at The Cambridge School

Cambridge Moms gather for a time of fellowship and prayer off campus.

Here at Cambridge, Moms in Prayer (MIP) is a group of moms that gather weekly to impact our children and school community for Christ as we pray for our children, our students, our staff members and the needs of the school. To God’s glory, we’ve seen many answered prayers and thank God for His faithfulness and provision!

When the moms gather weekly, it is an intentional time to be involved in our children’s lives through prayer.

Over the past several years, MIP also grew deeper and wider in its reach within the school community. For the past couple of years, we covered every student. This year to date, we covered each of our 209 students in prayer! Regardless of whether we know these students or their families personally, we know that interceding for them is critical to the health of the school.

Moms faithfully write cards to the staff members prayed for that week. Those cards are delivered to them, usually with a tailored gift, courtesy of a generous and thoughtful mom. The staff may not know the individual moms that prayed for them, but our desire is that they know they are cared for and supported with prayer.

Each month, moms sign-up to bring our staff snacks and treats while they hold their staff meetings, giving of their resources to lend their support to the school staff. It is another tangible way for our moms to bless our staff and to remind them that they are prayed for and are very appreciated.

Moms-In-Prayer-Cambridge-1MIP helps to build a stronger community by bringing families and the school community closer. Throughout the year, we’ve prayed for our own children, students and staff that we know, but also for students and staff whom we don’t know. When our moms see students and staff on campus that we’ve prayed for, we feel as though we know them just a little bit more by having prayed for them.

We desire to honor the Lord and His kingdom through the ministry of Moms in Prayer solely for His glory.

Soli Deo Gloria,
Cambridge Moms in Prayer
