Enrichment opportunities.
The Cambridge School offers several enrichment opportunities for your students.
These enrichments are co-curricular and designed to aid in the shaping of a well rounded student in conjunction with the education they receive in the classroom.
This year Cambridge is pleased to offer a host of enrichments from 3rd party vendors as well as enrichments hosted by members of our very own community!
The below Enrichments have been confirmed for Spring 2025.

Thursday @ 3:05-4:05 PM Session Start: March 13, 2025 In the grammar school Math Club, we stretch our abilities and understanding of math in two main ways. First, by preparing for and competing in math competitions, such as the Math Olympiads and (if students are interested) the AMC 8. Second, by looking at and discussing interesting mathematical concepts that students may be unfamiliar with, with the hope that students’ joy and interest in math will be amplified. Schedule coincides with the school calendar – club will not meet on non-school days. |

| Soccer Shots Premier |

Thursday @ 3:05-3:45pm Session Start: March 13, 2025 Soccer Shots Premier focuses on individual skill, fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner. Club will not meet on school Holidays. |

Tuesday @ 3:05-4:05pm Session Start: March 11, 2025 Class will be held weekly throughout the school year with optional summer and winter break classes at our local studio. This includes optional recitals for the dancers to participate in, including the Nutcracker this upcoming December. Basic fundamentals of 3 styles of dance (Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz) Motor skill developmental Confidence + self-love 1 new dance style per week Introduction to the fine arts. Lovely Leaps meets on campus in accordance with the school calendar. Weeks that we are off of school, students have the option to take a class at their studio in Escondido. |
| Cambridge Choir I |

Wednesday @ 3:05-4:05 PM Session Start: March 12, 2025 The Cambridge Choir, open to students from grades 1-6, provides an opportunity for early choral and applied music experience. Children focus on learning to properly use their singing voice and develop a greater understanding of basic musical elements in a choral context, all while exploring a variety of excellent choral repertoire. In the Cambridge Choir, we begin building musicality by developing each child’s singing voice, proper musical phrasing, and performance experience. The Cambridge Choir is one larger choir, divided into two smaller groups to enable a focus on needs and abilities by age level. The groups will rehearse both separately and together each week: Level I (Grades 1-3): In this level, our focus will be on unison singing, blending voices, and learning to read choral music. The Cambridge Choir performs at various school events. Choir is a year-round commitment payable by trimester. Schedule coincides with the school calendar – club will not meet on non-school days. |

Thursday @ 3:05-4:15 PM Session Start: March 13, 2025 Chess is a great workout for the mind. Utilizing continuous problem-solving with changing conditions, students learn to think ahead, evaluate multiple alternatives and anticipate consequences. They improve spatial reasoning, visual memory and attention span while learning good judgment, reasoning power and self confidence. Studies show that chess improves cognitive thinking which in turn improves school grades! Schedule coincides with the school calendar – club will not meet on non-school days. |
| Cambridge Intermezzo Strings (Beginners) |

Tuesday @ 3:05-4:05 PM Session Start: March 11, 2025 Students will play 2-part harmonies while working on note reading, theory, and other important building blocks of chamber music. Please consider this a year-long commitment so that students can participate in holiday & outreach performances throughout the year along with the year-end concert. Requirements:
Audition Requirements: Scale of your choice & solo piece. Please email the audition video to Mimi Kiang as soon as possible. | Cambridge Intermezzo Strings (Intermediate-Advanced) |

Tuesday @ 4:15-5:15 PM Session Start: March 11, 2025 Students will be studying Intermediate to Advanced chamber music. Additionally, they will be developing and perfecting other techniques including vibrato, use of dynamics and correct phrasing. Please consider this a year-long commitment so that students can participate in holiday & outreach performances throughout the year along with the year-end concert.
Audition Requirements: Scale of your choice (2 or 3 octaves) & solo piece. Please email the audition video to Mimi Kiang as soon as possible. | Nature Study |

Monday @ 3:05-4:05 PM Session Start: March 10, 2025 Join our exciting nature study and gardening after school enrichment! Students will enjoy outdoor activities while they explore the natural world firsthand. This enrichment is all hands-on. Students will learn to plant and nurture the garden, discovering the magic of growing their own food and flowers. Other activities will include nature drawing, observing and learning about local wildlife and plants, and collaborating on a garden art project. All the work done will also be contributing to a positive school environment and an enjoyable space for the whole school to enjoy. Class will be held rain or shine. Limited spots available. Thursday @ 3:05-4:30 PM NO LONGER MEETING 2nd-6th Grade Please note: This enrichment was only open for enrollment in the first trimester. Students will engage in various aspects of theater arts: improv, movement, acting, and storytelling. We will explore character development through the colorful and playful world of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” This two-trimester commitment will culminate with three performances: Friday 2/28 and Saturday 3/1. It is only open for enrollment in the first trimester. |
