Board of Trustees

Charles B. Cappellari is Senior Patent Counsel at Gen-Probe Incorporated, a medical device company in San Diego.  Charles received his B.S. in biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his J.D. from The College of William and Mary.  He and his wife, Sonni, reside in the 4S Ranch area of San Diego with their two children.

Michael S. Horton, Ph.D., is Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics at Westminster Seminary California, in Escondido, where he resides with his wife Lisa and four children. The author of many books and articles, he is also hosts a nationally-syndicated radio program called the White Horse Inn, and is editor-in-chief of Modern Reformation magazine.

Jean Chung Kim has been an educator for more than 12 years, first as a high school history/humanities teacher, then as an educational policy analyst at a Washington DC think tank, and then as the owner of a successful afterschool tutoring center. She holds a B.A. in History from Yale University where completed her teacher preparation as well. She and her husband, Scott, reside in San Diego with their three young children.

Rev. Julius J. Kim, Ph. D., is Dean of Students and Associate Professor of Practical Theology at Westminster Seminary California, in Escondido. His teaching and research interests encompass homiletics, the history of preaching, and Asian-American Christianity. An ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America, he also serves as Associate Pastor of New Life Presbyterian Church in Escondido. He and his wife Ji Hee reside in Escondido with their two daughters, Emma and Phoebe.

Rev. Paul Kim is a church planter/pastor of Harbor Presbyterian Church. Paul received his B.A. in History from UC Berkeley and his Masters of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California. He and his wife, Linda, have two children and live in the Carmel Valley area of San Diego.

Scott Kim is C.O.O. of TagDigital Media, a full service marketing agency in La Jolla, CA. A seasoned entrepreneur, Scott is currently managing his second start-up company. Prior to this, he was an analyst at J.D. Power and Associates. Scott also serves on the Board of God’s Extended Hand, a ministry to the homeless in downtown San Diego as well as his church Navigation Team. He received his BA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

John G. Yphantides is an attorney in Escondido, California specializing in business and estate planning. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting emphasis) from San Diego State University and his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California.  He and his wife, Heather, reside in Escondido with their three children.
